A new Insight designed to surface oversized warehouses in your Snowflake account.

Many customers we work with will have virtual warehouses that are sized larger than necessary given the query workloads running on them. Downsizing these warehouses can result in significant cost savings.
To highlight these downsizing opportunities, we’ve added a new “Oversized Warehouse” insight which details the potential range of cost savings.
Changing the warehouse size is a significant decision. To help understand the nuances associated with it, we’ve added a new Warehouse Sizing Analysis to the Warehouse page under the Insights tab.
This page helps explain the potential savings and how they are derived. In addition, we show a simulated impact on query execution time.
